Arrival and departure
Arrival

The holiday home you have booked is available for you on the arrival date from 3 PM. Unfortunately it's not possible to arrive earlier. The address of the Park Baayvilla's is Noordergat 30 to 52, 9976 VR Lauwersoog.

The manager, the Dijkstra family, would like to receive a message / phone call about half an hour before your arrival time, so they will be there to welcome you. You can contact them through telephone number +31(0)651900772.

Expecting to arrive later

If you arrive later than 6 PM, please inform us in time by telephone. The manager will then arrange for you to pick up the key to your holiday home at a different time / place and will make sure that the necessary arrival information is ready for you.

What is available in your holiday home upon arrival?

To get your stay off to a good start, we have already laid out a number of items for you in the house so that you won't lack anything. You can find all this here.

Have you booked a vacation home with a hottub? Due to hygiene measures, it will be completely emptied, cleaned and refilled before your arrival. It is possible that the hottub is not yet at the right temperature when you arrive. Our apologies for the inconvenience. Our villas with Finnish sauna are equipped with a delicious sauna liquid!

Departure

Unfortunately every holiday comes to an end. On the day of departure you can return the key to the manager until 10 AM. You will make a walk through together with the manager before your departure to check your holiday home. Are you leaving outside the regular departure times? Then you can deposit the key in the mailbox at the entrance of the park. Before you leave, we kindly ask you to check the following:

  • The dishes are done and cleaned up.

  • The heating is set to 18°C.

  • The air conditioning is switched off.

  • All windows and doors are closed.

  • Moved furniture is back in its original place.

  • Waste has been deposited in the park container.

  • Any damage or breakage to the property or inventory has been reported.

Payments

Any outstanding amounts must be paid before check-in. This means that payment cannot be made on site. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay in cash.

Park rules

Cars at holiday park Baayvilla's

You can park one car at your holiday home. At the entrance to the park is a general car park where other cars can be parked.

At the park

  • There is one swimming jetty per two houses, we kindly ask you to use the swimming jetty belonging to your Baayvilla.

  • When you go out, please fold the parasol and close windows and doors tightly.

  • To respect the privacy of all guests, we kindly ask you not to pass in front of other guests' homes.

Bicycles

To ensure that the Baayvilla's continue to look nice, we ask you not to park bicycles against the houses.

Waste

You can deposit your waste separately in the waste containers on the grounds, behind house #10.

Pets

The park is a pet-free park, so it is not allowed to bring pets with you.

Children

Our park is for young and old alike! However, we would like to ask parents to pay attention to the following points:

  • When playing, please respect the environment and other residents and limit play to the area near your rented property.

  • Beware of doors and windows.

  • Beware of water

Bank/ shore

The shoreline is very important to our park, we are dealing with a nature that cannot be controlled. We kindly ask you not to throw anything into the water and to let the reeds and other greenery stand and grow.

Take a Landrover safari together under the guidance of a forest ranger from Staatsbosbeheer and experience the real Dutch wilderness. Familiepark Nienoord is located in the middle of the woods on the beautiful Nienoord Estate. Here you will find more than 50 attractions and play equipment. Go on an expedition, climb over obstacles, travel on the steam train or go full speed down the giant slide. There is a fun petting zoo as well. At the Legio Museum, located in the former LEGO Netherlands building, you will learn all about the history of LEGO. Hiking and cycling around Lauwersoog offer a wonderful experience of the rugged landscape of National Park Lauwersmeer, with vistas over water, dykes and vast nature. The well-maintained paths lead past bird-rich areas and quiet, unspoilt coastal strips.

National Park Lauwersmeer is a unique nature reserve. The characteristic open and vast landscape is an attractive habitat for many animals and plants, including hundreds of thousands of birds.
Activity Centre Lauwersnest is the ideal starting point for a visit to National Park Lauwersmeer. In and around the activity centre, you will find lots of information about birds and the Dark Sky area. Many walking and cycling routes are also available.
Since 2016, National Park Lauwersmeer has been designated as a 'Dark Sky Park'. A Dark Sky Park is an area where it is dark, where darkness is preserved and where visitors are welcome to experience that darkness at night. Lauwersmeer is one of the last places in the Netherlands where it still gets really dark, so that a clear starry sky can be seen at night. On some days, you can even see the Northern Lights here! You will find so-called sky platforms to admire this; during the day you can spot birds and have stunning views of the area. Lauwersoog has an official mountain bike (MTB) route right through the rugged grasslands, deciduous forests, sandbanks and areas of shallow water, which you can enjoy.

Near Lauwersoog, you can admire seals up close at the Pieterburen Seal Centre and learn more about their rehabilitation. In addition, Nationaal Park Lauwersmeer offers plenty of opportunities to see wild animals such as roe deer, konik horses and various bird species in their natural habitat.

In several Baayvillas, your own SUP board is included with your stay; from your holiday home you are on the water within minutes to discover the beautiful surroundings.
In the area, there are also beautiful routes you can follow by canoe. You can go windsurfing and sailing at Watersportcentrum de Lauwer, right next to Baayvilla's holiday park.
In Lauwersoog, there are two places where you can kitesurf, excellent wind guaranteed!
From all over the country, anglers come to the Lauwersmeer area to fish. National Park Lauwersmeer is a popular area for many recreational anglers to practise their hobby, partly because of the tranquillity, the beautiful surroundings and the good fishing.

In several Baayvillas, your own SUP board is included with your stay; from your holiday home you are on the water within minutes to discover the beautiful surroundings.
In the area, there are also beautiful routes you can follow by canoe. You can go windsurfing and sailing at Watersportcentrum de Lauwer, right next to Baayvilla's holiday park.
