Sustainable cleaning at Dutchen

Dutchen Cleaning Label

At Dutchen, we always aim for an optimal balance between guest comfort, good hygiene, and care for the environment.

At every changeover, we thoroughly clean the property using a checklist. The beds are made up with fresh linen, and there are always new towels ready. Additionally, the hot tub, whirlpool, or Jacuzzi® is always emptied, cleaned, and refilled.

To minimize the use of cleaning products, we apply microfibre technology for 90% of our cleaning. However, we cannot avoid using disinfectant cleaning agents for stubborn dirt. The products we use are as biodegradable as possible and carry the EU Ecolabel.

Several times a year, the properties receive thorough cleaning sessions, where they are cleaned in detail.

Check-out and check-in

Between the departure of one guest and the arrival of the next, there are only five hours. Sometimes it’s even shorter, as guests may book a late check-out or an early check-in. Therefore, thorough cleaning of the holiday homes requires careful planning and a top team. We prefer to work with regular staff to ensure the work is done as efficiently as possible.

To ensure the cleaning process runs smoothly, we ask our guests upon departure to load and start the dishwasher, take out the trash to the waste point, and take any leftover groceries home.n.

Our top Dutchies

We greatly appreciate our cleaning Dutchies. They ensure that your holiday home is spotless. If you find the property not quite up to the standard you expect from us, please let us know. We can address this with our team and resolve the issue. Are you satisfied with the cleanliness of the property? We would love to hear that as well, so we can compliment our team.

Sustainable choices

We make sustainable choices whenever possible, including in the cleaning of our properties. For instance, we choose not to package our linen in plastic. In a four-person accommodation, this saves at least ten plastic bags each time. While that may not seem like much, for all our properties across different parks, it results in a significant reduction in plastic waste each year.

Welcome bag

Upon arrival at our holiday parks, you will receive a paper bag per accommodation filled with handy items that guests often forget. For example, coffee capsules that are biodegradable and can go in the green waste bin. You will also find tea, salt, and olive oil for the first few days. Additionally, there is a garbage bag, 100% biodegradable dish soap, a dishcloth, and a biodegradable coconut scrubbing sponge (which can also go in the green waste bin). A nice addition for your stay!
