Hoorn is charming and not overrun with tourists. The Zuider Zee museum in nearby Enkhuizen is amazing.

The hotel is a converted church completed last year to a very high standard. The restaurant is very good and food also good although there could be more choice on the mains, I had a steak also for 35 Euro which i thought was expensive for what you got, although it was nice i have had better for less. overall a good stay and would recommend.
